This project celebrates the shared history of the east coast, using museum and archive collections of Lowestoft, Lowestoft Maritime and Time and Tide museums as starting points. Working with community-wide volunteers, objects and artefacts have been co-curated to build a diverse and accessible seaside heritage handling collection. The project also links with local partners and organisations to interact with audiences at public events or at creative activities where a heritage presence would not traditionally have been represented. By telling the story behind the objects in an inventive way, local heritage is made accessible to non-traditional audiences and opportunities for cultural engagements are established.
