Celebrate King St! with Circus and Crafts on the Plaza

Head down to St Georges Theatre Plaza for a celebration of King Street on Saturday, 19th September.
The Plaza will be transformed into a vibrant hub with a buzz of activity and colour. Marvel at a canopy of colourful birds created by the community. Find out about Great Yarmouth’s fascinating migrant history, the transformation of King Street and the Cultural Quarter. A captivating soundscape of local voices, migration stories, song and music from around the world will provide a backdrop to the day’s festivities.
We invite families to join us for a fun packed hourly session that includes craft making and circus workshops, plus surprise pop up performances.
The capacity is extremely limited, and bookings are in hourly time-slots for groups up to 6 people.

FREE to attend but booking is essential to avoid disappointment.
The celebration will inspire communities to come together to make new friendships and share their diverse cultures in a fun and exciting way!

The Kings Street Party is supported by The Council of Europe, The European Commission, European Heritage Days, Historic England’s Heritage Action Zone programme, Without Walls, Creative People & Places – Freshly Greated and SeaChange Arts and will be delivered in partnership with a collective of local artists, Time & Tide Museum, St. George’s Theatre and the Great Yarmouth Preservation Trust.
