Parkour workshop

A free programme for young people aged 11-18 (up to 25 for those with SEND) which encourages participation in culture and creativity through doing making and creating.

Come down to The Drill House from 1pm-5pm to hang out and get involved with activities. There will be creative workshops, games, circus, crafts and more - so there will be something for everyone. If you would rather bring your own thing to do or just chill with your friends, that is totally fine too.

No need to book - just turn up!

Stop-Motion Animation Workshop

Create and animate your own character inspired by the illustrious past. Embellish with the plants that once grew in the building and will return once the building reopens. Then animate your characters and plants using 2D Stop-Motion Animation.

Sustrans East of England

Bring your bike along for free repairs, roadworthy checks and maintenance tips. Sustrans will be at the Drill House from 12pm-5pm with their Dr Bike Checks and other activities.

Willow Lantern Making Workshop

Willow Phoenix

Join master willow weavers Adam & Emma and help them to create three large willow lanterns, which will resemble the Ice Blocks that were stored in the historic Ice House – our soon to be unveiled new arts and culture venue. The lanterns will be installed at the Ice House and displayed during the Summer.
