You are invited to explore your personal connection to the Great Yarmouth coastal and marine landscape using photomontage and drawing at a small relaxed workshop.
This workshop is for you if:
- You live in Great Yarmouth
- You enjoy making images, and would like to gain some new artistic skills
- You would like to support better decision making about the future of the Great Yarmouth coast
The workshop is unique in that it is part of a research project into how information about how people feel about living on the Great Yarmouth coast is gathered. Your artwork will be borrowed after the workshop and used to help build understanding of how the arts can complement scientific research methods. It will be returned to you, beautifully mounted - in February!
The workshop will be led by Lisa and Kath from Wild Pear, an organisation that uses creative practice to support positive environmental change.
We will:
Explore the techniques of hand crafted photo montage
Support you to create individual artworks expressing your personal connection to the coast
Ask you to reflect on your artwork through a short 1-2-1 conversation.
Ask for your feedback on what you thought of the event
No experience or artistic skill needed!
All materials will be supplied.
Refreshments supplied
Over 18’s please.
If you have any questions please email Lisa@wildpearcic.co.uk
The workshop has been organised by Cefas a scientific organisation that helps support thriving seas, marine biodiversity, and sustainable fishing.
