A free summer programme for young people aged 11-18 (up to 25 for those with SEND) which encourages participation in culture and creativity through doing making and creating.
Come down to the Marina Centre to hang out and get involved with activities in the cafe and on the surrounding beach (weather permitting). There will be creative workshops, games, sports, circus, crafts and more - so there will be something for everyone. If you would rather bring your own thing to do or just chill with your friends, that is totally fine too.
No need to book - just turn up!

Create your own superhero that will form part of a large comic book mural. Set in a post-apocalyptic Great Yarmouth our heroes battle to save the planet from environmental disaster. During the workshops we will explore character creation, storytelling and additional skills like drawing scenery. At the end of summer the mural will be shown at the Marina Leisure Centre.

Beach Detectives

Become a beach detective...search for plastic fragments left on GY beach. Whether left on the beach or drifting out to sea, our sealife are at risk of confusing plastic for food. Let's explore the danger of plastic becoming part of the marine food chain through a variety of art activities all made from found waste.
