Troupe De Dance – My Journey My Foot Work

“My journey my foot work” is not just a dance piece, but the voices from the South African young black
artists telling their stories and passionately showcasing their talent through Pantsula Dance. The show is focused on the journey of young artists, manly from the township and rural settlements on the outskirts of the City of Pretoria in Tshwane.
They use the dance to raise money, because of fewer job opportunities in their surroundings.
The dance requires high energy, accurate coordination, and constant concentration amongst the participating group to create entertaining movement. The pattern and style of clothing is unique and purposely created not only to enhance the dance but also to distinguish the Pantsula enthusiasts on the South Africa streets.
