Malcolm Colin-Stokes

Chair of Trustees

Malcolm joined the Board of Trustees in 2015 and became Chair of Trustees in November 2017. Prior to moving to Great Yarmouth Malcolm had been working in the arts as Head of Fundraising for the ICA and previously in Business Development and Events for Tate and the Royal Academy of Arts bringing the experience of partnerships with companies, individuals and trusts & foundations to the Board. Co-owner of the Knights Court Hotel, Malcolm can be found in the kitchen creating puddings and cakes for guests, friends, and family. Having tried his hand at our Aerial and Circus Fit classes, Malcolm is well placed to tell you how hard circus is on your mind and body!

Richard Packham

Richard’s career in local government spanned 40 years, the last 20 of them spent as Chief Executive of Great Yarmouth Borough Council. He was closely involved in the establishment of Out There Arts in 1996 and since then has maintained a strong personal commitment to the organisation, as Chair (2013 – 2018) and continuing to date as a trustee. In the 1990’s he worked closely with the Arts Council to put culture at the heart of Great Yarmouth’s regeneration strategy – where it remains today. More recently he worked with Joe’s team to focus Out There’s ambition on both international recognition and local community engagement.

Holly Notcutt

Holly has worked in Community Development for the last 12 years, in both the Voluntary and Public sectors. She is committed to working with grass-roots communities, ensuring the right conditions are created to allow people to maximise individual and collective potential, enabling communities to grow stronger and thrive. Great Yarmouth is her home town and Holly is passionate about celebrating all it has to offer, the vibrant diverse neighbourhoods and unique cultural heritage in particular. Knowing how transformative arts and culture can be in place shaping, Holly is delighted to be working with Out There Arts and hope to be able to ensure local people are connected to, enjoy and are inspired by the work Out There continues to do.

Jonathan Newman

Jonathan is employed by the Great Yarmouth Town Centre Partnership as Town Centre Manager where he is responsible for delivering a number of projects and initiatives that help promote a safe and inviting environment for visitors and workers alike. Whilst this involves running a retail crime reduction scheme with street Wardens, radio links and CCTV, it also includes organising and promoting various events in the town centre, e.g. the town’s Christmas Light Switch-On, Christmas Fayre, Treasure Trails, Children’s craft workshops and various entertainment to encourage more people to visit and enjoy the town centre. As a Out There Arts Trustee, Jonathan is keen that we link the great work of the Trust with the town centre to promote community engagement with arts and culture whilst enhancing the visitor experience of the town.

Hannah Wooller

Hannah Wooller AABC, is an accredited conservation architect, Managing Director and Head of Heritage and Conservation at Hudson Architects in Norwich. With a wealth of experience leading design teams, Hannah has spent many years working on regeneration and cultural reinterpretation projects across the country. She works with a wide range of consultants and complex design teams on projects on historic buildings and in the wider heritage context. Hannah is an advocate of STEM teaching in schools and undertakes regular engagement sessions at primary and secondary level. She has been the visiting critic on the Liverpool MArch course and at NUA.

Mari Martin

Mari started her career in community theatre in Edinburgh and has worked in the public and voluntary cultural sector across the UK for over 25 years. Most recently as Head of Arts and Events at Norfolk County Council she supported a wide range of cultural organisations and led the delivery of major cultural programs with local, regional and national partners. Mari is currently a partner at Martin & Stainton consultants, providing strategic support to the cultural and creative sector. She a trustee of Creative Arts East and The Garage, Norwich.
