OUT THERE FESTIVAL

Fanzini Productions – Ballet Poulet

Great Yarmouth

Ballet dancer and man holding toy chicken

Two world class Olympian-level idiots bring to you their latest masterpiece. She has prepared a poetic, delicate and tender ballet. He has prepared a bad ass display of mayhem. She loves dancing, he loves chickens. Nut-cracking and Swan Faking their way into your lives, these two will make you really question which came first…her tutu or his toupée?

Ballet Poulet is a non-verbal, physical and visual comedy show centred around a boss-clown relationship of dance and mayhem. A beautiful ballerina wishes to perform her solo piece, but is continually interrupted by her idiot clown partner. How will it be resolved? An absurdist take on Swan Lake, Ballet Poulet is inspired by the Dada movement and centred on comedy, with sprinklings of circus skills. Ballet Poulet has toured to Europe, USA, South Korea and the Cape Verde Islands and is loved wherever it roams.
