Cultural Programme
About HSHAZ Great Yarmouth.
Great Yarmouth High Street Heritage Action Zone (HSHAZ) Cultural Programme is an exciting 3 year programme for professional artist and community collaborations exploring and celebrating Great Yarmouth’s unique character, heritage and national significance as a centre for circus and entertainment.
Through year round participatory creative activities including workshops, heritage learning, performance, skill development and experiences; Great Yarmouth’s key arts and heritage organisations will animate and co create cultural programmes and wider town developments with communities, residents and businesses in the High St. Creating a more vibrant, engaging place to live, work and visit through cultural regeneration for GY.
The project is a partnership between Out There Arts as lead partner, Norfolk Museum Services and Time & Tide Museum, Great Yarmouth Preservation Trust, GY5, Freshly Greated, St George’s Theatre, and Great Yarmouth Town Centre Partnership.
Part of the four-year-long High Streets Heritage Action Zones’ Cultural Programme, led by Historic England, in partnership with Arts Council England and the National Lottery Heritage Fund. The Cultural Programme aims to make our high streets more attractive, engaging and vibrant places for people to live, work and spend time.
