FRESH STREET is to be hosted in the UK for the first and only time as part of the 2025 Out There International Festival of Outdoor Arts and Circus. Mark your calendars for May 28-29-30-31, 2025

An important and flagship conference for the outdoor arts and circus sector, FRESH will bring together key European and international artists, programmers, and policymakers for three days of dynamic discussions and stimulating exchanges on how we can imagine the outdoor arts of tomorrow.

FRESH STREET#5 is co-organised by Circostrada Network and Out There Arts in the frame of Out There Festival, in partnership with Outdoor Arts UK.

Wed 28 May - Revolution, gentrification or entertainment

Is the outdoor arts as a force for alternative ways of living and thinking dead? Can we be revolutionaries and pay the rent? Have our revolutionary voices been reduced to a whimper in the face of less and less funding? What are we doing about this?

The Out There Festival 2025

Fresh Street #5 takes place in the frame of The Out There International Festival 2025 from 28th – 31st May. This seventeenth edition is the biggest outdoor arts programme in the UK, featuring:

  • 18 World/UK Premieres
  • 150+ performances/works engaging over 50,000 people

What does this mean to Great Yarmouth? More high quality outdoor arts on your doorstep, opportunities for our local artists to engage with the international sector and a chance to cement Great Yarmouth as the capital of outdoor arts and circus.

Great Yarmouth is already home to Out There Arts who operate The Drill House and the upcoming The Ice House - National Centres of Excellence for Outdoor Arts and Circus as well as the Out There Festival.

The Out There Festival is recognised internationally as a strong practitioner of participative and inclusive approach. Great Yarmouth is prime to welcome a forward-looking approach to the future of Outdoor Arts and thinking around community-led place-making.

What does this mean to the UK?

FRESH Street #5 will springboard a three year international and UK reciprocal exchange network programme. A collaborative and creative opportunity to revitalise the exchange of world-class, tourable, quality outdoor work and innovate the outdoor arts as an effective means to engage with communities.
